The Circlet of Dawnhaven is an extraordinary divine artifact forged for a sacred purpose during a time of great need in the realm of Dawnhaven. In the heart of this city, a revered temple known as the Sanctuary of Dawn served as the epicenter of faith and devotion to deities of light and life. This sacred place was under a dark shadow as a vile necromancer, known as Lord Morbenthrall, sought to unleash undead hordes to desecrate the city.
The creation of the circlet was a collaborative effort between high priests, skilled artisans, and noble paladins who were determined to stave off the necromantic threat. Crafted from pure mithril, the circlet was enchanted with radiant gems and inscribed with ancient holy scriptures. The forging process included a 2 month-long ritual where high-ranking clerics channelled their divine powers into the circlet, instilling it with the very essence of the gods they served. Once completed, it bore a radiant aura that repelled the forces of darkness. The Circlet of Dawnhaven was worn by the High Priestess Alariana, a paragon of faith and virtue. During the impending siege by Lord Morbenthrall's undead army, she stood at the forefront of the temple, wearing the circlet as her divine mantle. When she invoked her deity's blessing, the circlet would flare with radiant energy, empowering her to rebuke undead with unmatched potency. The holy radiance emanating from the circlet deterred the necromancer's advance, and his dark forces were forced to retreat, unable to withstand the divine might.
Today, the Circlet of Dawnhaven is revered as a symbol of hope and faith, often passed down through the generations to worthy clerics. It grants its wearer the ability to turn undead with unrivaled strength, enabling them to dispel the undead and protect the living from the forces of darkness. The circlet remains a precious relic within the Sanctuary of Dawn, safeguarded by the faithful as a beacon against the encroaching shadows.
Minor Spell Storing. A item of spell storing contains up to three levels of spells that the wearer can cast. Each spell has a caster level equal to the minimum level needed to cast that spell. The user need not provide any material components or focus, or pay an XP cost to cast the spell, and there is no arcane spell failure chance for wearing armor (because the circlet wearer need not gesture). The activation time for the circlet is same as the casting time for the relevant spell, with a minimum of 1 standard action.
A spellcaster can cast any spells into the circlet, so long as the total spell levels do not add up to more than three. Metamagic versions of spells take up storage space equal to their spell level modified by the metamagic feat. A spellcaster can use a scroll to put a spell into the minor circlet of spell storing.
The circlet magically imparts to the wearer the names of all spells currently stored within it.
Extra Turning. Anyone who possesses the circlet and is able to turn or rebuke undead gains four more uses of the ability per day.
Insight Bonus. Puting on the circlet illuminates the wearer to moments in the future. The wearer of the circlet gains a +1 insight bonus to AC.
Faithfulness: The wearer is aware of any action or item that could adversely affect his alignment and his standing with his deity, including magical effects. He acquires this information prior to performing such an action or becoming associated with such an item if he takes a moment to contemplate the act.
