In the Span, an accused is brought before the Inquisitor to weigh the validity of the accusations, and what laws have been broken.
If the Inquisitor finds that no laws have been broken or that the accused is innocent of the broken laws, then the accused is released and given 1 gold per day from the accuser, or arresting entity as compensation for their time.
