Sildura, the Ethereal Seeker is a legendary bastard sword, forged during the reign of King Thaedric Ironheart, a valiant warrior king of the wintery city of Glacialhaven in the north near Frostfall, one of the cities in the vast Epochian Span. This blade was created in a time when the city was under constant siege from neighboring warlords and when Glacialhaven's army needed a powerful weapon to break the opposing armies' well-forged armor.
The sword's blade is infused with a rare and mysterious blue energy, harnessed from the very essence of the frigid Northlands' glaciers and bound to the weapon by skilled enchanters. This energy, they called as "Glacialfire," is said to be able to pierce through the thickest of armor with an icy cold edge, bypassing traditional defenses and biting deep into the flesh underneath of the wielder's foes. It's said that the energy was drawn from a wraith, Gloomshade, who willingly sacrificed a fragment of its essence for the creation of Sildura, forging a powerful connection between the sword and the being.
King Thaedric wielded this sword in battle, leading his forces into countless victories, and it became a symbol of his leadership, strength, and unyielding resolve. Though King Thaedric's reign ended, the sword remains, passed down through generations and was hidden away in the royal armory of Glacialhaven, but centruries ago, it was lost during the Northern Campaign in 561.
Sildura is a +1 brilliant energy bastard sword.
Brilliant Energy. A brilliant energy weapon has its significant portion transformed into light, although this does not modify the item’s weight. It always gives off light as a torch (20-foot radius). A brilliant energy weapon ignores nonliving matter. Armor and shield bonuses to AC (including any enhancement bonuses to that armor) do not count against it because the weapon passes through armor. (Dexterity, deflection, dodge, natural armor, and other such bonuses still apply.) A brilliant energy weapon cannot harm undead, constructs, and objects. This property can only be applied to melee weapons, thrown weapons, and ammunition.
